The area is expanding rapidly with new retailers, restaurants and events providing unlimited opportunities for entertainment and fun on the weekends. From the Farmer’s Market to the hiking trails created by the Lake Creek Greenway Partnership, to playing a round of golf at the Woodforest Golf Club - there are many activities that draw visitors to the District.
WMPID has played a key role in the ability of locals and visitors to enjoy outdoor fun. For example, WMPID has been instrumental in installing and expanding bike lanes throughout the area. When combined with beautification projects, WMPID is making it easier to access entertainment options, shopping and dining - whether by foot, bike or car!
There are many housing options in and adjacent to the District. The Woodlands, for example, has connectivity to the District through Research Forest Drive, and it offers workforce housing along with executive and luxury homes.

There are two school districts within the District - Magnolia ISD and Conroe ISD. In addition, within 20-minutes of the District are several colleges providing students with the opportunity to earn a degree locally, or to advance their career skills.
The District is known as a shopping and dining destination, attracting visitors from throughout the region. WMPID has played a key role in increasing access to the District’s shopping attractions, which has enabled additional growth.
Within the District and Montgomery County there are recreational opportunities for people of every age to enjoy. Whether one is looking to spend the day fishing on the lake, playing a round of golf, hiking or listening to live music - there is something for everyone in and near the District.
The District is also home to world-class golf courses, providing convenient recreation opportunities for those who live and work in the area.

WMPID charges zero property tax and provides infrastructure for the future of members’ business. Our revenue is a small portion of sales tax charged on local retail sales.

The District has grown to nearly 3000 acres of mostly commercial land that encompasses the region between Conroe, Magnolia and The Woodlands, serving infrastructure needs in the area, in partnership with Precinct 2.
