WMPID is actively working to support local businesses and improve our economy through infrastructure and public safety projects. As the region grows, our territory has expanded to 1,800 acres and is growing. Still, becoming a part of the District is voluntary. All of our infrastructure projects are funded using one penny of retail sales tax, meaning that the more people who shop in the District, the more money we have for projects that improve our local economy.
WMPID is a true problem-solver. When businesses or community members express a need, like the desire to improve safety by hiring officers for the substation or to install a traffic signal to protect elementary kids and turning vehicles, our organization can respond rapidly. We take care of it and produce the results businesses and community members need.
Still, we need more landowners to join us. As our membership grows, so does our ability to solve problems and make improvements throughout the District. Remember, there is no cost to be a member. We do not levy property tax or charge fees. There is no downside to being a member - only positive results because it means we can complete infrastructure, beautification and safety projects near your property.
