Workforce Programs

Montgomery County’s workforce is strong - both in education, talent and skill. Within 10-minutes of the District, over half of the adult population has a bachelor’s degree or higher. Simultaneously, the region has historically been strong in manufacturing and agriculture, ensuring a workforce ready to meet the demands of the advanced manufacturing industry.

Local Workforce Training Opportunities

Businesses looking to enhance the skills of their workforce can do so by leveraging local resources. Lone Star College-Montgomery is available to help businesses with all their workforce training needs.

Customized corporate training is available via Lone Star Corporate College, the college’s corporate training entity. They have partnered with many of the area’s manufacturing and service companies to provide ongoing workforce support. LSC is constantly scanning the employment needs of local businesses, making sure to offer the most up-to-date learning environment. Healthcare, manufacturing, as well as technical trades are just some of the exciting opportunities available at the Center. It’s all about the future, and with an ever-expanding lineup of programs, the center meets the needs of those seeking to enter a new career, expand within an existing one, or simply learn something new.
