Egypt Lane Project Continues Trend of Enhanced Access in Westwood Magnolia Parkway Improvement District

Montgomery County Precinct 2 and WMPID completed the Egypt Lane Widening and Repaving Project at the end of 2023, offering improved connection from FM2978 to Research Forest Drive. Montgomery County Precinct 2 completed the construction through an interlocal agreement with WMPID, which provided funding of $1,125,221. View a video of the tremendous work here.
Collaborative relationship helps improve local infrastructure
The Egypt Lane Project included road widening to include a designated turn lane, in addition to improved drainage and traffic flow. However, enhanced safety is perhaps the most significant gain, as the repaving eliminated the potholes drivers were swerving their vehicles to avoid on the previously narrow-laned road. The project was a testament to local dedication, completed in just a few short weeks.
